Dr. Preston L. Williams Jr Elementary School is one of five elementary schools serving students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The school is named after a retired administrator, coach, and the first African-American Superintendent of the Urbana School District, the former Prairie Elementary shares the Prairie Campus with the Urbana Early Childhood School.

SCHOOL
Urbana High School is the only public high school serving the children of Urbana. Conveniently located on Race Street right beside Urbana Middle School, UHS houses a student body of over 1,100 diverse students who participate in an award-winning marching band, active sports teams, and innovative academic programs.

EDUCATION
The Urbana Adult Education Center has provided educational and career services to residents of Champaign County and surrounding communities in East Central Illinois for over 50 years. Our program is primarily grant funded and has partnered with the Urbana School District #116 since 1963.

TIGER ACADEMY
Tiger Academy houses the USD #116 Alternative Education Day Time Program and the After School & Summer Freedom Schools® (FS) Program.
The Alternative Education Program is a part-time hybrid model between in person learning at UMS/UHS, homebound (voluntary or expelled), and/or alternative education for partial days.
Freedom Schools® is an 8th-12th grade program that focuses on teaching and fostering black excellence, culturally responsive social/emotional learning, restorative practices/conflict resolution, financial literacy, and civic engagement through service learning projects in the community.
