Research
Research
Urbana Schools are wonderful places for you to interact and learn from our students, staff, families, and community members. Before you can begin, there are a few things we need from you to protect our students’ safety and welfare.
The following must be completed before you can begin your research in Urbana School District:
Research Approval
University of Illinois researchers must complete the information requested on this site. The University will then contact the Executive Director of Leadership and Development, Dr. Laura Taylor about the possible research opportunity. If approved by the District, the researcher will be notified by Dr. Taylor or the College of Education.
All non-University of Illinois researchers should contact Dr. Taylor at (217) 384-3651.
Background Check
All researchers must have a background check, the type of background check depends on the nature of your research. Please contact Mentor and Community Involvement Coordinator, Angie Armstrong to learn more about the background check process. She can be reached via email: aarmstrong@usd116.org or phone: (217) 337-0853
