Summer Meal Program 2025

Urbana School District 116 is offering free meals to children 18 and younger this summer through the Summer Meal Program. The meals will be offered from June through the middle of July at various USD116 locations.

All children meeting the age requirement will be provided with food. They do not have to be enrolled in summer school or attend Urbana Schools. Individuals 18 or older with a state-defined mental or physical disability will also be provided with free meals. Meals will be available at the following locations at the following days/times:

June 9 thru July 2, 2025 | Monday-Thursday  (No meals Thursday, June 19)

  • King Elementary, 1108 W. Fairview, Urbana, IL   
    •  Breakfast: 8:30-9 a.m.   
    • Lunch: 12:30-1 p.m.
  • Urbana Middle School, 1201 S. Vine, Urbana, IL 
      • Breakfast: 8:30-9 a.m. 
      • Lunch: 11-11:30 a.m.

June 23-27, 2025 | Monday-Friday 

  • Yankee Ridge Multilingual, 2102 S Anderson St., Urbana, IL 
    • Breakfast: 9-9:30 a.m. 
    •  Lunch: 12-12:30 p.m.

June 9 thru July 17, 2025 | Monday-Thursday (No meals on June 19)

  • Urbana High School, 1002 S. Race, Urbana, IL 
    • Breakfast: 7:30-8:30 a.m. 
    • Lunch: 11:30 a.m.- 12 p.m.

The Summer Food Program is a federal government sponsored program that aims to provide children with access to food during traditional summer vacation periods. Online registration for returning families closes July 16.

Centralized Registration is July 30 from 12-6 p.m. and July 31 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Urbana Middle School. All new families, and any returning families who have not registered online, should register their student(s) during Centralized Registration.

Centralized Registration is a one-stop shop. You can register your student, get required physicals or immunizations, meet school staff, pay fees, get food service information from Quest, talk to First Student/MTD about transportation, learn about after school care and more - all in one place.
