As Superintendent, I would like to welcome you to Urbana School District #116. If you are new to Urbana, a long-time resident, or a returning family, you are in one of the best Districts in Central Illinois. Our motto in USD116 is #UrbanaBetterTogether, and we believe this to be true in every facet of the district ranging from the classrooms to the athletic fields, from the band rooms, and to the boardroom. We are committed to not only being Better Together but Stronger Together. Every day I am reminded of how thankful I am to live and work in this outstanding community where outstanding students, staff, and families are my priority. I take pride in the current and future success of each and every student in USD116. These successes would not be possible without the dedicated and talented teaching staff who are the backbone of how we as a District Learn and Grow Together.
Urbana 116 has a lot to offer all families through a diverse, linguistically rich, child-centered community. We are proud of the uniqueness of our six neighborhood elementary schools, state of the art Early Childhood Center, innovative middle and high schools, and Gerber School. It is my pleasure to serve this community. In my current role as Superintendent, I am also a USD116 parent and long time District employee who is visible and accessible both in the schools and out in our community. I am always eager to listen, and I want to hear from you.

I regularly provide updates to Urbana families regarding important events, deadlines, and Board of Education meetings in the District. To read a superintendent update or a Board of Education Meeting update, simply click here. Superintendent Updates are uploaded and distributed on Fridays. Board of Education Meeting Updates are uploaded and distributed at least two days following a USD116 BOE meeting. USD116 parents are encouraged to bookmark this page for quick access to updates. My Goals
Every year, I update my Superintendent Goals. These goals highlight areas of focus the entire District will work together on to improve our learning community. I present these goals to the USD116 Board of Education every year and make them available to all families via our website.
