Kindergarten Readiness Bags

Each year, incoming kindergarten students will receive a Kindergarten Readiness Bag thanks to Altrusa.

Each year, Altrusa makes a generous donation to Urbana School District #116 which helps create the bags for incoming kindergarten students.  These bags vary from year to year, but can include items such as: pencils, crayons, scissors, books, alphabet cards, number cards, letter magnets, sensory fidget toys, Play-Doh and more.

Altrusa is an international non-profit organization making our local communities better through leadership, partnership, and service.

We thank them for their generosity and time helping to fill new bags as we get ready for our new school year!

A group of Altrusa Volunteers along with the Urbana Kindergarten Coordinator, Kelly Allen, put together orange kindergarten readiness bags.
