Urbana residents with children who will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2025 can register them for kindergarten for the 2025-26 school year. Kindergarten registration is April 10, 2025 at Lincoln Square Mall from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Please enter through the south doors. Families are encouraged to bring their child to the registration event so they can receive a kindergarten screening.
Families should bring the following documents:
- Photo ID (driver’s license, State ID, passport)
- Student’s official birth certificate
- Phone numbers for doctor and emergency contacts
- Proof of Urbana residency
- Signed lease/mortgage
- Or TWO of the following listing the parent/guardian’s name and address: driver’s license, utility bill, voter registration card, change of address form
Families who complete their kindergarten registration in April do not have to attend registration in July.
