The Urbana Board of Education approved the appointment of the District’s Director of Human Resources at its Sept. 19 Board of Education meeting.
Mr. Peter Foertsch will start his new role on October 2. Foertsch was born and raised in Urbana-Champaign and currently serves as the Director of School Improvement at Champaign Unit 4 Schools. His previous experience includes Director of Magnet Schools, Principal, Assistant Principal and teacher.
Mr. Foertsch has a Master of Education degree and a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education, both from the University of Illinois.
