E-Learning Day: Monday, January 6, 2025

Dear Urbana Families,

Due to the winter storm, we are shifting to E-Learning for Monday, January 6, 2025. There will be no in-person instruction at the school buildings on Monday.  This decision was made because another wave of snow is expected overnight, which will not end until shortly before the morning commute.  High wind gusts of about 35-40 miles an hour would significantly impact the morning arrival for walkers, cars, and buses.  Visibility will be affected, and blowing and drifting snow will be challenging for our rural bus routes and staff members who drive in.

UMS and UHS extracurricular events will be determined later. Coaches will contact their student-athletes regarding the status of any scheduled events or practices.

PreK-5 students should work on their learning packets. Grades 6-12 students should check Google Classroom for posted information or assignments. Teachers will be available remotely via email or classroom apps during regular school hours if you have questions or need assistance.
