Urbana School #116 Central Office is Relocating

URBANA, Ill. – Urbana School District #116 will be relocating the Jean F. Burkholder Administrative Service Center to 1101 E. University Ave. next to the Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District office.

The move is expected to begin mid-July and be complete by late July. All current Central Office Staff will make the move to the new location from the current office at 205 N. Race St. The Urbana Adult Education Center will remain at the Race St. location at this time.

“Relocating Central Office is something that has been a necessity as we have outgrown our current spaces,” said Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Ivory-Tatum. “The new space will allow us the opportunity to be in one centralized location to better serve our families, staff, and community.”

For now, we will continue to use Urbana Middle School’s room 1520 for Board Meetings. However, we do plan to return to our former Board Room at 205 N. Race once the roof has been repaired.

All district phone numbers will remain the same after the move. We expect minimal interruptions and impact in our ability to serve the public.
