Two Urbana High School students had their artwork selected as part of the Congressional Art Competition.
- Achilles Delgado (“Jarring Photo”) was the overall runner up. His photo will be displayed in Congresswoman Budzinski’s Washington DC office.
- Simon Hamilton (“Spinning”) was a District Office winner. His art will be displayed in the Champaign District Office for the next year.
Each spring, the Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide high school visual art competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent in the nation and in each congressional district. The competition requires high school students to submit entries to their representative’s office and a panel of constituents with backgrounds in the arts selects the winning entries.
