New families should register their student(s) for school during our centralized registration event held at Urbana Middle School on July 24 and 25.
2025 NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION:
- Thursday, July 24 from 2 to 6 p.m.
- Friday, July 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This one-stop-shop allows families to register their students for the upcoming school year regardless of what school the student[s] attend, meet with staff, receive information about district food service, pay fees, sign up for Skyward Family Access, and receive other community-based information.
All incoming students and families must provide the following information and completed forms to register to attend a USD116 school. This includes students enrolling in school for the first time, students returning after being out of the district, or for a child transferring to USD116 from another school district.
Required Information
- Proof of residency
- Student’s birth certificate
- Student personnel record – General Information
- Student transfer form: ONLY for students transferring from another IL school *NOTE* All Illinois public school districts are required to provide this form to any student who is moving out of their school district to let the new IL school district know whether or not the student is “in good standing” and whether or not their medical records are up-to-date.
