Urbana School District is celebrating Black History month with its 3rd Annual Black History Month Kickoff event honoring the life and legacy of former Parent and Community Outreach Liaison and dedicated Urbana community advocate Janice Mitchell.
The event is Sunday, January 28 from 3-5 p.m. in the gym at Dr. Williams Elementary School. The event will feature:
- Cultural Performances
- A Black Inventors Display
- Youth Activities
- Arts and Crafts
- Book Giveaway
All are invited to participate in the event.
