Jr. Scientist Day was held on April 7th…also known as the most fun learning day of the whole school year! This annual event is in it’s 15th year. It was initiated by former Yankee Ridge parents Kris Hedman and Pete Heinricher to inspire students to learn about science. Scientists from the community come to present a variety of concepts in many creative and fun ways. This year’s topics included such things as: birds, fish, geology, archeology, entomology, future cities, riding a Segway, and trebuchets. Thanks so much to all our presenters and volunteers! We especially thank, Yankee Ridge parent, Jeff Birdsley for presenting and coordinating the event this year!
