Urbana High School Commencement Ceremony of the 100th year graduating class

The Commencement Ceremony of the 100th year graduating class of Urbana High School will take place on Saturday, May 30 at 11:00 am, but because of the threat of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place in the Urbana Middle School gymnasium, 1201 S. Vine St.  Graduating seniors participating in the ceremony will have a mandatory rehearsal at 2:00 pm on Friday and will meet in the UHS Commons.  At that time, the students will receive family tickets to the event.  The number of tickets per student has not yet been determined.

On the day of the ceremony, doors open at UMS at 9:00 am.  Limited parking is available in the UHS and UMS (both front and back) lots, as well was street parking around the facilities.

Urbana High School is celebrating their 100th anniversary during the 2014-15 academic year.  The Joseph Royer-designed building saw its first students in November of 1914.  Urbana School District #116 is a unit district located in east central Illinois.
