Shooting The Gun
Holding The Gun- You think you just point and pull the trigger right?!? WRONG! There are a lot of problems that come from shooting your gun. The balls break, aim could be off, the gun could jam, any number of things. So practice holding your gun upright so that you can fire shots off with the least worry.
Tracking Your Shots- Learn to fire your gun and trace the shots, this will help tremendously with your sight acquisition, and your accuracy.- You can practice this by just shooting the gun and watching for where your paintballs land. Sooner or later you will be able to see the paintballs being shot off into the distance. Track them and upgrade your game.- practice by firring a shot to the left or right of a target and move your gun while tracking your shots see if you can hit the target by tracking your shots to it.
Speed Firing- Another thing to think about when firring your gun is how fast you fire it. If you fire the gun once why not two times? Or even three? See how many paintballs you can fire in a row. I mean if you fire your gun once chances are you hit your target, but if you fire twice you double that chance, fire three times and you triple it. You see where I am headed with this? So the more shots you can fire per second the better your chance of hitting the target.- Practice this by just taking your gun out to an designated area and just firing your gun a few times as fast as you can. The more you do this, you will start to notice you will start to fire your gun faster and faster.
Find The Shot- Why fire a shot that you know you can't hit the target. This just draws attention to yourself. You have to know yourself and how you fire, only you can decide wether or not you can hit the target. If you don't think you can do it then why even try? You will only get the enemy on you that much quicker, and even get yourself out, all because of that shot you took that you knew you couldn't make.- The only way that I know of on how to practice this is experience. You will never know what you can and can't do without actually doing it.
Sight Acquisition- The faster you can aim at a target the faster you can fire the shot.(fast accuracy) It may not seem like much but every second is vital in a paintball game This little tid-bit can mean winning and lossing your game. This is why I believe this to be the single most important part of your game, you don't have to do anything else but fire your gun....not a very bright idea but it can be done.- You can practice this by firing practice shots at targets only about a few inches apart. Practice this until you think it is becomming easy. Then start to seperate the targets little by little. The faster you can take down the targets the faster your sight aquisition, which means the faster you can fire the shot that might mean the game.
