Tricks

These tricks are hard to practice unless you are in the game. There is nothing that beats in game experience. Only that will help you decide when to use them or not. I will not be including "how to practice" in this section, for that reason.

Play The Line- The line is the of course the sideline. When playing the line you are at a tatical advantage. This is because there is only half the area you have to gaurd. It is also the most untravled road there is. You will meet an enemy there only about half the time you would normally. The path on the sideline is not exactly the path you would take. I myself get down and dirty when I play. Hide yourself well while playing the wire. Get under a bush or something. Just don't walk out in the open. Your "life" may just depend upon it.

Use Your Surroundings- USE YOUR SURROUNDINGS no matter what they might be. You don't know how much I am stressing this. Hidding behind hard objects is candy, but if you want to catch someone off gaurd, hide in tall blades of grass. Unless they are right on top of you, the paintballs should be deflected by the grass. (Paintballs are very easily deflected.) Not only grass, a bush of some sort works too. Bridges are a nice place to hide under. Be the little troll that makes them pay the toll when they go through. The Price: a paintball to the chest.

Communicate- If your teamates don't know what you are planning on they can't help you, if you don't tell them where the enemy is they might not know, and if you don't ask for help when being shot at you might get hit. Bottom line? Communicate with your fellow teamates! You should always do this. It will improve your team game A LOT! I am not saying yell out your plans for your enemies to hear. There are other ways to communicate. Things like the enemies position, or asking for help can be yelled all you want, but your plans shouldn't be told. Instead use hand movements to try and get your teamates to understand. If you plan on playing with those same people alot, then work out a system of non-verbal communication.

Watch And Learn- Learn from those better then you. You never know what might help you. Watch an expert in a game. Try to immitate some of the moves he/she uses. It just might save your life one of these days. When looking for a playing style choose one that suits you though. There is nothing more irritating to me then watch someone trying to immitate an experts playing style and can't do it, because it's just not "them."

Be Different- When playing against someone you have before, or knows what you will do. Do exactly the opposite. This will through them off. This will also give you a little time to hit your target. While they are searching for you to the left, they are leaving themselves open on the right. Where if you did the opposite you are sitting right now. Don't let the enemy predict your movements. So do the opposite and take them out.

Take Your Risks- When your team is pinned down, take a risk, shake things up. Take out that guy thats pinning down your team. Rush to get that flag. Whatever the case may be. You may get shot in the process, but hey at least you didn't just sit tight and get shot, you went out with a bang. Not too mention if it works, you get the reward. If it fails, at least you shook things up a little and gave your teamates a chance to counter there attack on you. This would give them a chance to turn the tide. Just calculate the risks, if it's worth it, take it.
