“Capture The Flag”

This game is pretty much the “standard” game in paintball. I wouldn't be surprised if this was not the main game played at every paintball field in the world today. The game is pretty simple. There are two teams, one starting at each end of the field. Each starting point has a flag station where that teams flag is stored. The objective is to advance up the field while shooting the opposition until you get to their flag, and run it back to your station. Some fields put a slight variation on the game, so that you must have possession of your flag in your station as well as the oppositions for victory.

“Protect the President”

There are two teams, and one lucky person puts on a pretty red or other bright colored vest and is the President. He or she has there own secret service. These guys are your defenders, and must bring you safely from your starting point through “bad guy’s” territory to their starting station. The “bad guys” just have to stop the President from reaching the station in the allotted time, or shoot the President. If the President is shot, the game is over, and the bad guys win. There is a difference in how people play here though. Some people will give a gun to the President and some people will not. This dictates wether or not the President will be able to shoot back or not.

“Down Pilot”

This games starts again with 2 teams and a lucky player being picked out of the group. This lucky player gets to be a pilot and sent out into the field to hide. He/She is given a few minutes head start, and then the “bad guys” are let out to go find and shoot him. A couple minutes later the second team is sent out to rescue the down pilot, and bring him to the starting point. It is illegal for the “bad guys” to just sit and wait for the rescuers to enter the field! (better to be played in a bigger field, if it's too small of a field this game is either too easy or to hard depending on what team you are on.)

“Defend the Fort”

This is a fun game, which involves two teams, one placed inside of a huge fortress, a large perimeter of bunkers, or a building in which to "cover" themselves. The other at a position down the field. The defenders are not allowed to leave their assigned perimeter. They must defend, to the last man, a flag hanging in the center of their fort. The second team’s objective is to get a live player to touch the flag. The second team can move anywhere they want, but do not win the game unless a player touches the flag.

“Center Flag”

This game involves the use of a flag as well, but only one. The flag is placed in the center of the field. Two teams, one at each end of the field must advance forward, get the flag and return it to the opposing team’s starting point. If the player holding the flag is shot, he must either stand there holding the flag, or put the flag in a position that is clearly visible.

“The Duel”

This game is really quick and easy. It's a one on one game that will dictate the winner of any game. Each player is given one paintball. There are two ways to play this. Either start off back to back and wait for the signal to turn and fire, or start out on opposite sides of the field. If you start out on opposite sides the marker is layed on a table behind you. When the signal sounds you turn around grab the gun and fire your shot. If both players are hit then the player that shot with the most accuracy to the center of the chest. Kneeling is allowed in either version, but side stepping is not. Best of three versions.

“Night Recon”

This game is meant for those that love to sneak around at night and rather stealth be the name of the game. You set up multiple teams of about 5 players. Each player gets a card in which to mark on. About five or six flag stations are set up (a pole with a marker attached to it.) You then send all the players out into the night to go around to each station and mark the cards with the marker. The scoring is as follows: 1 point for each marker, 5 pts for entire team marked with at least two markers, 5pts each there after, 2 pts for every player from a team marked with the same checkpoint, and -1pt for each player eliminated.(eliminated players do not count there points.) The team with the most points after a set amount of time is the winner.

“Kill The Rabbit”

This game is meant to offset beginners and experts. One lucky player (the Expert) runs into a forest with a gun, and a "shield". The beginners then come out to the forest and try to hunt the rabbit down. The team can either stay together or fan out. The object is to find and shoot the single player The catch is that the hunters only have about 20 paintballs eah in which to shoot the rabbit with. The game is better played if the "rabbit" is really good or if the "hunters" are really bad. It offsets the game making it loads of fun. It is normally played at the end of the day because the players are too short on paint to play a "full-on" game.

“Ice Age”

This game is meant to reflect the ice age. The normal rules apply except when tagged by a paintball. If tagged you "freeze" in place. You then wait to be tapped on the top of the head by either your team or the opposing team. If you are tagged by your players you are back in the game. If you are tapped by an opposing player you are "shattered" and are out of the game completely.

“Prize Kills”

This game is really fun to play with friends. The players start out the game like a normal elimination. There is a five min tone, blown by a ref or other official. The players all wear arm bands (5). When the player is hit the player sits down and puts his hands on the top of his head. The other players then come out to take his armbands. One armband per player. You do not have to be the one who shot the player to take his arm band. The player shot waits for the five min tone to start playing again. When a player runs out of arm bands that player is eliminated from play and must leave the field.

“Kick The Bucket”

Just a childs game you play it like a game of capture the flag except with a bucket. Players who are shot while kicking the bucket do not win and the bucket is reset.

“Mutants”

In this game, the referees pick out a few of the more experienced players in the group and send them out into the field. These greatly outnumbered "mutants" get a few minutes to setup on the field, just as long as it isn’t next to where the "earthlings" start. The objective of the "earthlings" is to kill all of the mutants. There is a catch though. If the mutants shoot someone, that "earthling" then becomes a "mutant" and has ten seconds to get up and run to his mutant friends. The objective for the "mutants" is of course to shoot everyone and create a purely "mutant" race.
