Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. School Family And Community Engagement (FACE)

We work hard to support your children’s learning, both at home and at school. However, we know that in order for you to help them at home, you need to know what’s going on at school. The FACE Program will help you become more informed about what’s going on at school. The FACE Program will help you become more informed about school while also having fun and spending time with your immediate family, the King School Family, and members of the C-U Community. Kindergarten Transition  Coordinator

Hello New Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parents,

My name is Ms. Cynthia Goode;

               I am the Student, Parent and Community Engagement Coordinator for Dr. King. School. I am now joining the team as the new Kindergarten Transition Teacher for our School as well. I can be contacted at cgoode@usd116.org and at (217) 384-3678 Ext. 136 Room F. I am a graduate of Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville with a B.A. in Communications. This is my first year working in the Urbana district. I look forward to working with and making sure that your child has the best possible experience transitioning to Dr. King School. At Dr. King Jr. School all parents, visitors, volunteers, etc. are welcome and are required to obtain a visitor or volunteer sticker from the office prior to going to their destination. It is the responsibility of all staff members to observe visitors/ volunteers within the building to determine of they are in compliance of this requirement. Please be sure to go to the office first to sign in and get your visitor stickers. We want to always ensure the safety of your children. Again I welcome you to Dr. King Jr. School and anticipate a great year for all the children joining our wonderful school. See you soon.

Sincerely,

Cynthia Goode
