A: Thank you for your question. Honor Roll requirements are located in the UMS Student Handbook (pg. 11). It says:
Honor Roll Any student who earns a Grade Point Average of 4.0 or higher with no C, D, or F grades in a quarter is an “honor” student for that quarter. Students may attain one of three levels of achievement:
High Honor Roll Grade Point Average 4.5-4.9
Highest Honor Roll Grade Point Average 5.0
Current UMS Honor Roll lists are posted on the wall in school for students to see about 1-2 weeks after grades are posted. Report cards were run this week and have been sent to families. At this time, we do not post the Honor Roll names on the web site.
A: Thank you for your question. There is a $100 registration fee per student per year for Urbana School District #116, Early Childhood through 12th grade. The fee can be reduced or waived if the family qualifies for free/reduced lunch.
A: Thanks for your question. At this time, Urbana Middle School does not have a football team. 8th graders looking to join the UHS football team when they become freshman will get an opportunity to try out in the Spring. Those dates will be announced early 2017.
A: Thanks for your question – according to the Tiger Times (found on the UMS web site): UMS Softball tryouts are August 1 and 2 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the UHS field (at Washington and Broadway). 6-8th grade girls may try out, and there will be one team. Practices begin August 3rd and continue through the rest of the summer from 5:30-7:30 pm. Email email@example.com.
