Lesson 11:
Lewis and Clark Timeline
Purpose: Students should understand that this
unit has covered the first year of the expedition. Students now have an opportunity to further research the
expedition, focusing on principal parties (Lewis, Clark, Charbonneau,
Sacajawea, Seaman, etc), encounters with native tribes, or further exploration
of the new United States territory.
Teachers might want to utilize this Lewis and Clark timeline to
highlight important dates from the expedition.
