Students will create a timeline beginning in the present in order to better understand the concept of how long ago certain events happened. This will also foster understanding of the difficulties Lewis and Clark faced during their exploration of the Louisiana Purchase due to the lack of transportation.  When looking at photos, teachers might want to use this Graphic Organizer.
